SURVEY: Why Patients Love Chiropractic

When you go to a doctor’s office how many people look happy or excited to be there? How many people come in with a smile and leave with an even bigger smile? How many people look like they are in control of their health? Or does it appear that their health is in control of them?

One of the first things you’ll notice about most chiropractic offices is how vibrant and full of life patients feel in comparison to most doctor’s offices. People are sick and in pain at both types of offices, but patients seem more alive in a chiropractic office. It’s one of my favorite aspects of my job. Most of our practice members walk in with a smile and leave with a bigger smile. They are genuinely excited to bring their family with them. Kids tell their parents that they can’t wait to go back to the chiropractor. These same kids pretend to be chiropractors at home imitating what they see in the office. Most of this excitement comes from the fact that people in a chiropractor’s office feel in control of their health. Don’t just take my word for it. Let’s look at a recent survey that examined why patients love chiropractic.

Reasons for visiting a chiropractor:

  1. For general wellness and disease PREVENTION: 43.6%

  2. To Improve Energy: 16.3%

  3. To improve athletic and sports performance: 15.4%

  4. To improve IMMUNE FUNCTION: 11.4%

  5. To improve memory or concentration: 5.3%

  8. Improves relationships: 13.3%

Chiropractic motivated me to:

These results were gathered in a 2012 National Institute of Health interview survey published in Spine.
