Meet Our Team

Dr. Blake Baggett

Dr. Blake Baggett was born and raised here in Tuscaloosa and as an active child he could usually be found playing whatever sport was in season. He grew up competing in sports almost year-round where he learned at an early age how to work hard, work with others, and have fun in the process. His two favorite activities were tennis and martial arts. His first job was under the leadership and guidance of James Bailey and Marty Sellers at Bailey’s Taekwondo. During this time, he learned the meaning of and developed important character traits such as honor, courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control, courage, and community while becoming an accomplished martial artist and instructor. His favorite part of his time at Bailey’s Taekwondo was his chance to be a role model to younger kids and use martial arts to teach larger life lessons. Dr. Blake attended Hillcrest High School where he played on the varsity tennis team. He was fortunate enough to lead the team to their first ever appearance at the state tournament during his senior year. During his time playing on the tennis team he learned the importance of mental toughness and its implications in more than just sports.

After high school, Dr. Blake attended Shelton State Community College and the University of Alabama. After three years of undergraduate work, Dr. Blake was accepted into Life University College of Chiropractic in Marietta, Georgia. Life University is currently the largest chiropractic school in the world and producing the most principled chiropractors of any other school. During his time at Life University he finished his undergraduate studies with honors as well as graduating with his Doctorate of Chiropractic Summa Cum Laude in March 2017. He was active in organizations on campus and even served as treasurer of the Pierce Results System Club. His other accomplishments during school include becoming certified in the Pierce Results System and Orthospinology Procedures. Both techniques use cutting edge analysis and technology to deliver chiropractic in a scientific and reproducible manner.

Outside the office, Dr. Blake enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife, Taylor, and their dog Gabe, preferably outdoors. He still enjoys staying active which usually includes playing tennis, racquetball, or frisbee. He also regularly attends North River Baptist Church where he has served in various roles.

Taylor Baggett

Taylor also grew up in Tuscaloosa doing anything that would keep her outdoors. She loved softball and basketball at a young age and played on travel teams for both sports for many years. After middle school, Taylor picked up two new sports in volleyball and golf. Golf quickly became a special part of her life because it was something that she could do with all her family, including her grandparents. Taylor, along with a few friends, was a part of the first girls’ golf team at Hillcrest High School.

After high school, Taylor attended Shelton State Community College and the University of Alabama. She graduated Magna Cum Laude in May 2015 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communicative Disorders. Taylor was on track to go to graduate school for speech-language pathology, but realized that was not her calling. She returned to Shelton State to pursue an Associate’s Degree in Bookkeeping and graduated in August 2016.

Taylor and Dr. Blake got married in September 2016 and moved to Tampa, Florida immediately following. During their time in Tampa, they learned many key factors to manage and operate a successful chiropractic office. Taylor’s favorite part of being in the office is seeing the many kids that come in to get their spine and nervous system checked so that they can grow up and live the healthy life that God intended them to have!
